We caught up with Justin Young and Freddie Cowan, one half of Britain’s burgeoning Indie rock band The Vaccines, who talked vintage shopping, punk music, and… spooning.
The up-and-coming Indie rockers ranked number three in BBC’s Sound of 2011 poll and garnered a nomination for an MTV Award for “Best New Band.” They shook up the London scene with one of their early performances in October 2010, where they played to fellow Brit musicians like Marcus Mumford and Alex Kapranos, who were in the audience.

Such a fun night at The Summer Set release album party!
They played a few songs from the new album, in an acoustic set, and looked like they were proud of the new music they were about to set free on to their fans. I had never seen them live before and really enjoyed their acoustic set. The party was mostly filled with long time friends from AZ and you could feel the love in the room, so everything’s fine.
I have been fortunate enough to have a copy of the album for the past week and it is filled with feel-good songs that are perfect for summer love. So, if you have a few extra bucks to spend on some new tunes, pick it up!
Anyway I am pretty tired from all the dancing I did (photos will be up on Buzznet tomorrow) so good night and sweet dreams.
